Life at Microsoft: Working for the Man

After school, I was hired by Microsoft Corp. to be a program manager on the Windows 98 team. Why did I take the job?  It's hard to say. In any case, I was responsible for Device Bay, DVD, and some other assorted bits.  For this I got my name in the Easter Egg, which you can see if you have a copy of Win98. We did manage to have some fun, though, especially when my boss and good friend Dave took off for a week.

After finishing Windows 98, I moved on to the Windows 2000 team. I include here some photos from a team "morale event" to a paintball arena.

Since Win2k shipped, I've moved to the Shell/UI team, where I own user interface design for hardware and networking. Independently of that, I'm contributing to the latest editions of Management and Windows Performance Tuning & Optimization.
