It pierced his groin, and although he was rushed to the hospital, he died of internal bleeding.  Nothing&#8217;s for sure, but a heavy leather shop apron (the full length ones are sometimes called &#8220;kilts&#8221;) might have saved him.  Plus, you&#8217;ve always got your tape measure handy&#8211;beats the hell out of my current system of strategically placing tape measures every five feet around the shop.<br \/>\nSo I was at a friend&#8217;s house for dinner tonight, and said &#8220;watch, I&#8217;ll get you a new shop apron&#8221;.  I proceeded to tell the story to his wife.
